2022 Review

The 2022 Club season took place with Covid 17 restrictions lifted enabling both Club sessions and League Matches to take place normally.

A departure from previous years saw the Club participate in two mixed Leagues, Castleacre and North Norfolk. This format proved quite successful, although no dedicated Ladies or Mens format was available. The Terry Chivers Trophy match against Burnham Market remained unplayed again this year.

Club night attendance were relatively well attended, and Membership was maintained at a similar level to the previous year. We are hopeful that the 2023 season will be well attended.

The Club Tournament was again won by Becky Palmer and Alan Lawson.

Off Court

Fund-raising Quiz nights were held again this year with attendance not returning to pre-covid levels.  Mary has organised the next one for March 18th this year.

Mary, our club secretary, arranged an end of season/Christmas lunch in the Lancaster Room which was enjoyed by all.

Coaching

Becky continues in her role as Club Coach and hopefully junior sessions will continue this year.

LTA

The Club continues to be members of LTA enabling members to access Wimbledon ticketing.

Other News

The committee has been assessing improvement options for the club and it was agreed that assets will be put towards court resurfacing. Further funding is required and the committee will continue to progress.
